Terms & Conditions for PDF Toolkit

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

Welcome to PDF Toolkit. By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the PDF Toolkit mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms").

The App is owned and operated by TheAlgrow ("we", "us", or "our"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not download, install, access, or use the App.

2. LICENSE TO USE

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, TheAlgrow grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download, install, and use PDF Toolkit on your personal mobile device strictly for personal or legitimate internal business utility purposes.

3. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & USAGE RESTRICTIONS

The App—including but not limited to its underlying source code, user interfaces, feature algorithms, visual assets, graphics, logos, trademarks, database rights, and documentation—is the exclusive intellectual property of TheAlgrow and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

You expressly agree that you will NOT:

• Copy, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the App or any part thereof.
• Decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or attempt to extract or derive the source code of the App.
• Sell, rent, lease, lend, redistribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App.
• Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary rights notices.
• Use the App for any unlawful, illegal, unauthorized, fraudulent, or harmful activity.

4. LOCAL ON-DEVICE PROCESSING & YOUR DOCUMENTS

4.1 On-Device Processing Guarantee

PDF Toolkit operates as a weightless, local document utility. All document operations—including PDF editing, page merging, file splitting, size compression, document scanning, metadata modification, text/image extraction, and digital signing—are performed locally on your mobile device. Your files and document contents are never uploaded to or stored on our servers.

4.2 User Document Ownership & Backups

You retain full ownership of all files and documents processed through the App. We do not inspect, review, monitor, or back up your documents. You are solely responsible for keeping independent backup copies of your original files. TheAlgrow is not responsible for any file loss, corruption, deletion, or unrecoverable documents resulting from your use of the App.

4.3 Document Authorization

You represent and warrant that you possess all required rights, titles, and legal permissions to open, modify, convert, scan, or sign any document you process using the App.

5. DEVICE PERMISSIONS

To deliver core utility features, PDF Toolkit requests specific device permissions:

• Storage Access (Read/Write/Manage External Storage): Required to locate, read, edit, compress, and save PDF files, media, and exported documents on your device.
• Camera Access: Required for the Document Scanner feature to capture physical pages.
• Internet Access: Required to load app configuration settings, display advertisements, deliver telemetry analytics, and submit voluntary bug reports.

6. DIGITAL SIGNATURES & PDF PASSWORDS DISCLAIMER

6.1 Digital Signatures

The App allows you to draw, upload, and place visual handwritten signatures onto PDF pages. These signatures function as visual image overlays. They do not constitute encrypted, legally certified qualified electronic signatures (such as cryptographic eIDAS certificates). You are solely responsible for verifying whether visual signatures satisfy statutory legal requirements in your jurisdiction.

6.2 PDF Password Security

The PDF protect and unlock tools utilize standard PDF encryption rules. You are entirely responsible for remembering passwords applied to locked files. TheAlgrow cannot recover lost passwords or decrypt password-protected files without the valid credentials.

7. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES & ADVERTISEMENTS

The App integrates third-party services for app operation, analytics, and advertising:

• Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): Used to render banner and interstitial advertisements. Third-party ad networks may collect device identifiers and usage data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google Analytics for Firebase: Used to gather non-personally identifiable usage metrics and crash logs to optimize app performance.
• Supabase: Used to fetch remote app settings and receive user-submitted issue reports.

Your interaction with third-party networks is governed by their respective privacy policies and terms of service.

8. BUG REPORTING & USER SUBMISSIONS

When you submit bug reports or feedback through the App, basic technical information (such as operating system version, device model, and app build) is attached. If you voluntarily provide an email address, it will be used solely for responding to your inquiry and will be deleted within 30 days.

9. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

PDF TOOLKIT IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

THEALGROW EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY OF CONVERSIONS OR SCANNING, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THEALGROW, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES—INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, FILE CORRUPTION, LOSS OF PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR DEVICE DAMAGE—ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.

11. MODIFICATIONS TO APP & TERMS

We reserve the right to update, modify, add, or discontinue any feature or portion of the App at any time without notice. We also reserve the right to revise these Terms periodically. Your continued use of PDF Toolkit following any changes signifies your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable governing laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
